Senator Taylor offered Amendment No. 1 : Page 2, line 1: Delete "hold two or more" Insert "not hold more than two" Page 2, lines 3 - 5: Delete "(B) acquire an additional entry permit for the fishery after the person has acquired entry permits that cumulatively authorize the use of one or more units of gear in the fishery." Insert "(B) acquire a second entry permit for the fishery after the person has acquired an entry permit that authorizes the use of an entire unit of gear in the fishery." Senator Taylor moved for the adoption of Amendment No. 1. Objections were heard, then withdrawn. Senator Halford moved and asked unanimous consent that the vote on the passage of the bill be considered the vote on the effective date clause. Without objection, it was so ordered and the bill was referred to the Secretary for engrossment.
